Is it really anonymous?
Yes. You post under a random nickname and color. You can't use your real name as a nickname, and there is no profile photo. Your email, birth year and country stay private: no one else can see them.
Can I change my nickname?
During sign-up, you can draw a new nickname and color as many times as you like. But once you pick your nickname, it's final: you won't be able to change it.
Who can read what I write?
Your posts appear in the feed under your nickname. Your journal is visible to you only and can never be shared.
Can someone message me privately?
No. There are no private messages on Nolii, and there never will be. Everything happens in replies, under posts.
What happens to my data if I delete my account?
Your account and posts are erased, backups included, within 30 days. You can delete your account anytime in Settings.
Safety and kindness
How does Nolii prevent hurtful messages?
Every text is checked when you send it. If it contains a name, a phone number, an address or hurtful words, it isn't posted and you're asked to edit it. A team of moderators also reviews reports.
I see a message that bothers me. What do I do?
Tap the “⋯” menu to report the post or block its author. You won't see their posts anymore, and the moderation team reviews the report.
What happens if someone is really struggling?
They immediately see a screen with helpline numbers for their country. The moderation team is alerted, and kind members are invited to leave them a word of support.
Does Nolii replace a therapist?
No. Nolii is a space for expression and peer support. It is not a medical service or therapy.
Using the app
Who can sign up?
Anyone aged 18 or over. You sign up with Google or an email address.
What is “Alter ego”?
It's a tab in the feed: it shows you posts from people feeling the same emotion as you today.
Can I track my mood?
Yes. Every emotion you share is saved, and your profile shows your mood over 7 or 28 days.
Is Nolii available in French?
Yes. The app and the site are in English and French. You choose your language when you sign up and can change it anytime in Settings.
Will it work on my phone?
Nolii comes to Android first, then iPhone. The app is built to stay light, even on a slow connection.
How do I contact the team?
In the app, go to Settings, then “Contact support”: you get a reply within 48 hours in your notifications. You can also write to support@nolii.app.
